The giant panda Hua Ni, better known as Ai Bao, gave birth to a female cub weighing more than 170 grams on June 3, according to the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda on its official Weibo account.

The newborn is the fourth cub of Ai Bao and her mate, Yuan Xin, also known as Le Bao. The pair arrived at Everland Resort, South Korea's largest theme park, in 2016 as part of a 15-year China-South Korea giant panda conservation and research cooperation program.

Their first cub, Fu Bao, born in July 2020, returned to the Shenshuping Giant Panda Base of Wolong National Nature Reserve in Southwest China's Sichuan Province in April 2024.

Their twin cubs, Rui Bao and Hui Bao, born in 2023, remain at Everland.
