BEIJING, June 25 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese defense spokesperson on Thursday confirmed that the aircraft carrier Fujian was in the Taiwan Strait for routine training.

Similar training activities will continue to be conducted in the future, said Zhang Xiaogang, a spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, at a press briefing in response to a media query.
