BEIJING, June 26 (Xinhua) -- China's current account registered a surplus of 184.3 billion US dollars in the first quarter of 2026, official data showed Friday.

In yuan terms, the current account surplus stood at 1.2836 trillion yuan during the period, according to the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.
A breakdown of the current account showed that trade in goods recorded a surplus of 1.722 trillion yuan, while trade in services posted a deficit of 413.6 billion yuan.
The country's capital and financial accounts recorded a deficit of 1.3102 trillion yuan in the first quarter, which stood at 188.1 billion U.S. dollars in dollar terms, the data showed.
