Maintaining maritime stability and good order in fisheries production between China and South Korea is in the common interest of both sides, Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a routine press conference in Beijing on Friday.

Guo noted that China has always asked its fishermen to operate in accordance with laws and regulations and resolutely safeguard Chinese fishermen's legitimate rights and interests.

A mature dialogue mechanism on fishery exists between China and South Korea and the two countries are keeping close communication on relevant issues.
