China has delivered the world's largest high-quality education system, serving over 286 million students across 470,000 schools, according to the Ministry of Education. Its basic education indicators have reached the average level of those in high-income economies, while the higher education gross enrollment rate has more than doubled since 2012, exceeding 60%.
