The government of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) held a flag-raising ceremony and a reception on Wednesday to celebrate the 29th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China.
HKSAR Chief Executive John Lee attended the ceremony at the Golden Bauhinia Square.
As the national anthem played, flag bearers raised the national and regional flags while attendees stood solemnly, singing the national anthem.
Following the ceremony, a grand reception was hosted by the HKSAR government in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
