China on Wednesday reiterated its position that unilateral sanctions on Iran should be lifted as soon as possible.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun made the statement during a regular press briefing in Beijing in response to a media inquiry about China's view regarding the US lifting sanctions on Iran.
"China has always advocated that unilateral sanctions on Iran should be lifted at an early date," Guo said.
He expressed hope that the US and Iran will work together to fully implement the signed memorandum of understanding (MoU), continue advancing negotiations, and strive for an early comprehensive political solution to the Iran issue.
