The Civil Aviation Administration of China has issued a new set of measures to enhance air transport services for passengers with disabilities, the administration said on Thursday.

The new measures target the most pressing concerns and practical hurdles frequently encountered by air travelers with disabilities.

They call for the establishment of a closed-loop, full-service chain with unified standards, covering every step from terminal drop-off points to check-in counters, security checks, waiting areas, boarding, in-flight services, deplaning, baggage claim, arrival corridors and, finally, pick-up points, the administration said.

The administration stressed that these measures are designed to deliver consistent, seamless support to passengers throughout their entire journey.

The initiative's core objective, the administration noted, is to significantly improve both the convenience and comfort of air travel for people with disabilities.
