3 killed in heavy rains in China's Liaoning

SHENYANG, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed in heavy rains in the city of Fushun in northeast China's Liaoning Province on Saturday, according to local authorities.

A heavy rainstorm hit the urban area of Fushun from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m., with the maximum precipitation reaching 329.2 millimeters. The city has relocated 3,596 residents to safer areas.

The city has made all-out efforts in emergency rescue and disaster relief operations, and normal social order is gradually being restored.
