BEIJING, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Liang Chaoping, a former member of the leading Party members group and head of the disciplinary inspection team of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, is under investigation for suspected severe violations of Party discipline and the law, an official statement said Monday.

Liang has turned himself in and is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision, according to the statement.
