Shen welcomed the launch of the Global Network of Centers for Exchange and Cooperation on AI Capacity Building, saying that China supports advancing global AI governance within the UN framework, which is expected to ensure equal participation, joint development, and shared benefits for all countries, and make AI a new driving force of common development.

More concrete and sustainable cooperation should be carried out to meet the needs of developing countries in talent training, technological application, and other areas, so as to effectively bridge the AI divide, Shen noted.

Shen said China stands ready to work with all parties to support the Network in expanding its partnerships, and build it into an important bridge for Global South cooperation and a strong pillar for inclusive AI development.

Shen also congratulated the Center for Global AI Innovative Governance at Shanghai-based Fudan University on being a founding member of this UN-promoted network.
