All 4 Chinese contestants win gold at chemistry olympiad

TASHKENT, July 19 (Xinhua) -- The 58th International Chemistry Olympiad concluded in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on Sunday, with all four high school students representing the Chinese team clinching gold medals.
The competition, which opened on July 10, attracted 363 contestants from 92 countries and regions worldwide. Following theoretical and experimental examinations, a total of 41 gold, 74 silver, and 112 bronze medals were awarded.
The four Chinese contestants took second through fifth place to win gold medals, with one of them securing the highest score in the theoretical exam.
The olympiad is usually held annually in July and runs for about 10 days.
