BEIJING, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong met with U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel in Beijing on Friday.

Wang called on both sides to implement important common understandings reached by the two heads of state and have more constructive dialogue on the basis of mutual respect.

Both sides should deepen practical cooperation in areas such as drug control, combating telecom and online fraud and child pornography, anti-money laundering, and fugitive pursuit, Wang said.

Both sides agreed to continue deepening exchanges and cooperation in the field of law enforcement.
