BEIJING, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese authorities have jointly launched a special action to streamline the recognition process for high-tech enterprises, with the aim of making it easier for tech companies to access innovation policy support.

The initiative, rolled out by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and seven other government departments, focuses on improving the evaluation and recognition of high-tech enterprises through enhanced data sharing, optimized application systems and stronger information verification.

The MIIT will set up a coordination mechanism to address bottlenecks in the process. Local authorities in charge of industry, technology, finance, emergency management, taxation, market regulation and intellectual property will work together to ensure policy alignment and system integration.

The MIIT said it will work with the Ministry of Science and Technology and other departments to ensure the action delivers tangible results, and will use the initiative as a key lever to strengthen the role of enterprises as drivers of innovation, foster new quality productive forces, and deepen the integration of technological and industrial innovation.
