China urges the US to stop threatening Cuba with force and cease all forms of unilateral blockade and sanctions against Cuba immediately.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning made the remarks at a press conference in Beijing on Friday when asked to comment on reports that the US is planning military actions against Cuba, including a blockade, air assault and ground invasion.

"We noted relevant reports. China has stated its position on relevant issues on multiple occasions," Mao said.

China will continue firmly supporting Cuba in defending its national sovereignty and opposing external interference.

We stand ready to work with all sides to safeguard international fairness and justice, Mao said.
