Alataw Pass Railway Port in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region hit a new record with 12.4 million tonnes of cargo handled in the first seven months of 2026, up 14.1% year-on-year. A joint coordination mechanism among railway, customs, and border agencies has cut clearance times to under four hours, while tailored logistics solutions for 54 local firms have reduced costs. With daily train handovers up to 33 and 129 China-Europe routes serving 21 countries and regions, the port is fast becoming a streamlined, cost-efficient gateway for Eurasian trade.
