As the host of APEC 2026, China is holding the Third APEC Senior Officials' Meeting (SOM3) and Related Meetings in Dalian, Liaoning Province, from August 17 to 28.

In February and May this year, APEC SOM and related meetings were successfully held in Guangzhou and Shanghai respectively. The SOM3 and related meetings in Dalian once again showcase the diverse development landscape of different regions across China to the world.

As a gateway city in Northeast China, Dalian boasts a solid industrial foundation and prominent geographical advantages. At the Dalian International Conference Center, the venue for the meetings, a lineup of ship models manufactured locally has caught particular attention, underscoring the city's core competitiveness in the shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment industry.
