4.7-magnitude quake hits Nagqu in Xizang: CENC

BEIJING, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- A 4.7-magnitude earthquake jolted Nyima County, Nagqu City in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region, at 10:45 p.m. Thursday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 33.28 degrees north latitude and 87.03 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 9 km, said a report issued by the CENC.
