BEIJING, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday called on China and Kyrgyzstan to elevate practical cooperation in both quality and scope with high-quality Belt and Road cooperation as the main focus.

Xi made the appeal in a signed article published in Kyrgyz media outlets ahead of his state visit to the Central Asian country.
