A second batch of emergency relief materials provided by the Chinese government departed from Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong Province, on Tuesday afternoon bound for mudslide-hit Nepal.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun made the remarks at a regular press briefing on Tuesday. The shipment includes urgently needed supplies such as drones, DNA testing equipment and reagents, water purification systems, and lighting facilities, according to Guo. A team of Chinese DNA identification experts will also travel to the frontline in Nepal to assist with relief operations.

"Providing emergency assistance and participating in international rescue efforts are important political decisions made by China, showcasing its friendly sentiments toward the Nepalese people," said Guo.

China stands firmly with Nepal and will work hand in hand with the nation to overcome the difficulties, demonstrating the traditional friendship between the two neighbors through concrete actions, Guo added.
