China's third batch of emergency relief supplies to Nepal was dispatched on Thursday morning, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a regular press briefing on Thursday.

The shipment includes essential items such as tents, blankets, mortuary cabinets, medical protective suits, and satellite communication equipment, according to Guo. A second team of DNA identification experts traveled on the same flight to assist with relief operations.

Alongside central government efforts, China's Xizang Autonomous Region has urgently provided two Bailey bridges to the Nepali side. Social organizations, including the Red Cross Society of China and the China Foundation for Rural Development, have donated relief materials, while local Chinese overseas associations and Chinese-funded enterprises in Nepal have actively contributed support.

"China will continue to extend emergency assistance based on Nepal's needs and engage in international rescue operations," Guo noted.

Following the disaster, Chinese meteorological and water resources authorities have maintained close coordination with their Nepalese counterparts to share monitoring data and jointly address the emergency, the spokesperson said.

The China Meteorological Administration immediately contacted Nepal's Department of Hydrology and Meteorology to conduct video consultations and share real-time forecasts, delivering vital meteorological support for local rescue efforts. Concurrently, China's Ministry of Water Resources has provided a continuous flow of hydrological monitoring, early warning, and forecasting information, Guo added.

He noted that the Nepali side expressed deep gratitude for China standing shoulder to shoulder with Nepal in disaster response, saying it highlights the great neighborly friendship between the two nations.

China remains committed to bolstering cooperation with Nepal in emergency response and disaster management, providing solid support for Nepal's relief operations, Guo said.
