China investigates and prosecutes cases of foreign citizens' crimes in China in accordance with the law and fully protects the legitimate rights of the individuals involved, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a daily briefing on Friday in Beijing.

Guo made the remarks in response to a question regarding the arrest of 52 Singaporeans in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on suspicion of carrying out pyramid scheme activities.

Guo also suggested media contact the relevant Chinese authorities for further information.
