HONG KONG, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) on Friday said that funds raised through IPOs for the first eight months of 2026 were 342.4 billion HK dollars (about 43.67 billion U.S. dollars), up 153 percent from the same period last year.

Data showed that there were 106 newly listed companies for the first eight months of 2026, a year-on-year increase of 80 percent.
The average daily turnover for the first eight months of 2026 was 282.5 billion HK dollars, an increase of 14 percent compared with the same period last year.
By the end of August 2026, the HKEX had 2,761 listed companies with a total market capitalization of about 47.2 trillion Hong Kong dollars. (1 U.S. dollar equals 7.84 HK dollars)
