BEIJING, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- Delegations from almost 100 countries, regions and international organizations will attend the 13th Xiangshan Forum that opens on Tuesday in Beijing, a Chinese military spokesperson said on Monday.

Jiang Bin, a spokesperson for China's Ministry of National Defense, noted at a media conference that more than 60 representatives at the ministerial or military chief level and above will attend the forum, which will run until Thursday.

This year's forum, themed "Build Consensus on Stability, Advance Security Governance Together," features four plenary sessions and eight parallel sessions.

According to the schedule, the forum this year will host closed-door seminars on sensitive topics, including the Ukraine crisis and issues in the Middle East.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Beijing Xiangshan Forum, which was launched in 2006 as a "track-two" think-tank exchange.
