Shanghai court's transparent AI Screen impresses law experts

A transparent AI translation screen caught the attention of a delegation of expert members of the International Commercial Expert Committee of China's Supreme People's Court (SPC), when they visited the Shanghai International Commercial Court recently.

The court has been officially in operation for just over a year, but its influence is already extending beyond China. Cases concluded by the court in 2025 were included in the UNCITRAL CLOUT database (Case Law on UNCITRAL Texts) and other international case databases on 15 occasions, reflecting the growing recognition of Chinese courts' application of international commercial law as an important reference for the global legal community.
