Ministry Minutes | China hopes Iran, US remain committed to peace: foreign ministry

China supports the settlement of disputes through political and diplomatic means and hopes Iran and the US will adhere to the choice of peace, return to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, and resume dialogue and negotiations at an early date, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a regular press briefing on Wednesday.

"Since the outbreak of hostilities, China has been committed to stopping conflict and promoting peace," Guo said, noting that China stands ready to continue its efforts for the early restoration of peace and tranquility in the Middle East and the Gulf region.
