China's top diplomat Wang Yi held the 28th China-France Strategic Dialogue with French President's Diplomatic Adviser Emmanuel Bonne in Datong, north China's Shanxi Province, on Saturday.

Wang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, had lengthy and in-depth discussions with Bonne on deepening China-France strategic cooperation and reached broad consensus. They also spoke positively of the progress made through the China-EU trade and investment consultation mechanism.
