Located on the banks of Bai'etan in Liwan District, at the confluence of three rivers, the Bai'etan Greater Bay Area Art Center was designed by a team led by He Jingtang, a renowned architect and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The center covers approximately 145,000 square meters, including more than 40,000 square meters of exhibition space and 35,000 square meters of shared public space.

Inspired by the concept of a giant cultural ship, the center features a sleek, contemporary design and a 560-meter riverside promenade where art and river views meet. It brings together the Guangdong Museum of Art, the Guangdong Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum and the Guangdong Literature Museum under one roof. Combining Lingnan heritage with modern aesthetics, it aspires to be a cultural landmark, a public leisure destination and a hub for exchanges across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
