Ministry Minutes | 'China Haul' trend reflects growing global appeal of Chinese products and lifestyles: foreign ministry
The growing popularity of the "China Haul" trend on social media reflects the appeal of China's industrial vitality, vibrant everyday life and social convenience, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Friday.

Speaking at a regular press briefing in Beijing, Mao commented on the latest trend following the viral popularity of "China Travel" and "Chinamaxxing." The trend has seen an increasing number of foreign tourists arriving in China with empty suitcases and returning home with bags full of Chinese products, while also sharing their shopping experiences online. Chinese brands are also drawing long queues at pop-up stores in cities such as London and Paris.
"We are delighted to see more foreign friends recognizing the country as a destination worth visiting, Chinese brands as worth buying and the Chinese way of life as worth experiencing," said Mao.

"China will continue to open its doors wider and promote two-way exchanges, allowing more people around the world to better understand and develop a fondness for the country," she added.
