CHENGDU, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- China's top political advisor Wang Huning has stressed the need to pool strength for development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030) and to advance Chinese modernization.

Wang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), made the remarks during an inspection tour in Chengdu, Deyang and the Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in southwest China's Sichuan Province from Oct. 13 to 16.

He urged solid efforts to forge a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation, while making systematic efforts to ensure that religions in China are Chinese in orientation and establishing a more solid legal footing for the governance of religious affairs.
