The move was made in view of the latest protest situation in France. The amber OTA signifies signs of threats, a spokesperson for the HKSAR government said.
The HKSAR government advised Hong Kong residents currently in France, or planning to visit, to monitor the situation, exercise caution, attend to personal safety, and avoid large gatherings of people.
The Security Bureau of the HKSAR government will continue to monitor the situation closely in France.
