Mainland slams DPP for barring Taiwan officials from mainland event

The Chinese mainland will host November events marking the 160th birth anniversary of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, a Chinese revolutionary and statesman. Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council says it will deny mainland travel permits to relevant personnel including county and municipal heads, banning them from attending. This is the council's first explicit ban on such commemoration events. The mainland has strongly condemned the move.
