Former chairman of China Petrochemical Corporation under probe

BEIJING, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Fu Chengyu, former chairman of the China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group), is under investigation for suspected severe violations of Party discipline and the law, an official statement said on Saturday.

The case of Fu, also former secretary of the company's leading Party members group, is being investigated by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision, according to the statement.
