A rainbow around a plane? Here's what it really is!

Nature's magic high above the clouds! A stunning rainbow-like ring appeared around an aircraft's shadow during a flight from Ili to Urumqi in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Known as a pilot's halo, or a glory, this rare optical phenomenon occurs when sunlight interacts with tiny water droplets in clouds.
