Experts are examining the case of a 63-year-old man who suffered from chronic disease that died two days after taking the COVID-19 vaccine in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Department of Health will perform an autopsy after getting approval from the family.
The man had bronchitis and was sent to hospital after suffering breathing difficulties on February 28. He did not show any side effects after getting the COVID-19 shot on February 26, said an expert from the Hong Kong Health Department, stressing the vaccines are safe and effective.
The expert also noted that residents with chronic diseases should not get the shot. Medical workers are available to answer any questions from people in the priority group to get the vaccine.
