Beijing (People’s Daily) - The first guidance manual to mental health during the outbreak of NCP was released on Saturday to boost the confidence and determination against the epidemic for foreigners in China.

Issued by Shaanxi Normal University General Publishing House, the book pays homage to the medical staff campaigning on the front line in Wuhan City and Hubei Province.

This book is illustrated with cartoon pictures and written in popular and easy-to-understand language. It is intended to help and guide the masses to care for their personal health, both physically and mentally. The goal is to help eliminate possible unstable emotions, and to face up to the epidemic in a good and optimistic state of mind.

In the course of the campaign against the epidemic, Shaanxi Normal University, in a prompt response to an appeal by the Central Committee, Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee, and for the good of the public as well, published "A Guidance Manual to Mental Health during the Outbreak of NCP (now COVID-19)", the first book of its kind to deal with mental health counseling in the course of epidemic prevention and control.

After its debut, the book (Chinese Edition) attracted wide attention and garnered much acclaim. It is free of charge and readers can have access to various versions of this book, namely with an online-version, e-book, audio book and printed copy as well. Copies of this book have been met with a particularly positive reception after being donated to the medical staff campaigning on the front line in Wuhan city and Hubei province.
