The first water-free public toilet of ecological intelligence was put into use in Beijing.

In September, Olympic Park administration committee introduced the water-free public toilet of ecological intelligence into Beijing, and put it into use on October 22. These toilets have automatic sensors to facilitate visitors, and visitors can take toilet paper after facial-scanning. The most distinguished feature is that there is no water for flushing. It is estimated that more than 1,000 tons of water can be saved annually by only one toilet of this kind.

The water-free public toilet of ecological intelligence adopts the latest biodegradation technology which can collect human waste and degrade them through a biofiller. It has the advantages of no water, no pollution, and no odor. The degradable material can be used as organic fertilizer.
