A flooded iron mine traps 17 workers in northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province, local authorities said on Friday.

The water-permeable accident occurred around 3 am in Xunke County, Heihe City, when 43 miners were underground. Some 35 workers have been lifted, leaving 8 people still trapped.
