Flying boat conducts trials in South China Sea

Xiangzhou-1, a fixed-winged seaplane, conducted trials around Yazhou Bay in Sanya, Haihan province on Monday. It was domestically developed for commercial use.
Experts said the Xiangzhou's cruising speed is between 100 and 130 miles per hour, several times faster than speedboats and hovercraft.
