State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will attend a special ASEAN-China foreign ministers' meeting on the novel coronavirus outbreak in Vientiane, Laos, from Wednesday to Friday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang announced on Monday.

Wang will co-chair the meeting with Foreign Secretary Teodoro Lopez Locsin of the ASEAN-China country coordinator the Philippines, according to Geng.

He will also co-chair the fifth Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Foreign Ministers' Meeting and pay a visit to Laos, Geng said.
