The step, approved by the Central Committee of the Party and CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), was taken as Baikeli violated laws and regulations. He is under further investigation.
Bekri was also a member and deputy director in the CPC committee with the National Development and Reform Commission.
He confronted the CPC review and refused to explain his actions during investigation. He was found involved in corruption that included benefits to his family. He was accused of abusing his power for granting out-of-turn promotions, changing designations, and corruption in enterprise operations and mining deals.
Bekri is accused to illegally accepting huge amounts of property, demanding expensive cars, dedicated drivers and other services for his family, and accepting lavish banquets and gifts.
He has been transferred as a criminal suspect to the procuratorate for review and prosecution. His illegal income is being unearthed.
