Du Guangyi, former senior official of Kweichow Moutai, was expelled from the Party for bribery and faces disciplinary violation, the anti-graft watchdog of Guizhou Province announced on Wednesday.
Du was accused of obstructing an investigation, engaging in operating activities in violation of Party discipline and using power to favor other people and seize huge amounts of money, according to a statement from the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervisory Committee of Guizhou. Previously, Du was under investigation for breaching Party discipline and the law.
Du, born in 1955 in Guizhou, was a former Party member of China Kweichow Moutai Distillery (Group) Co Ltd and former deputy general manager of Kweichow Moutai Co Ltd.
