Former vice governor of Anhui Province sentenced to 20 years

The Jinan Intermediate People's Court of Shandong Province Friday publicly announced that Zhou Chunyu, former vice governor of Anhui Province, accepted bribes, concealed overseas deposits, abused power, and conducted insider trading.

Zhou Chunyu was sentenced to 20 years in prison and fined more than 361 million yuan ($53.7 million). The property obtained by his bribery and insider trading was confiscated. He said in court that he accepted the verdict and would not appeal.
