Born in 2000, Shen Mengke signed up for the army after high school graduation.

From 2018 to 2020, she served in the 71st Army Group and joined the sniper training team, without experience, in 2018.

Training alongside 80 snipers was not easy. Like her male comrades, Shen carried 20 kilograms of bricks on her back and heavy sandbags on her shoulders during training. Her arms and waist were often red and swollen.

While others held heavy shells for half an hour during training, Shen held shells for an hour until she couldn’t move her elbows.

Shen went on to win the sniper contest and was nicknamed “the king of guns.”

After leaving the army, Shen went to university to study and became a volunteer in her hometown during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Shen cut a dashing figure in her military uniform and after leaving the army, she retains a fighting spirit.
