The crosswalk only glows when pedestrians are crossing or when it gets dark. The lights turn off when there is sufficient light and when no pedestrians are crossing.

The system is attached to a sensor which uses AI technology to differentiate between a pedestrian and a bicycle. Based on that information, the sensor will decide whether or not to light up the crosswalk.

With AI technology, the glowing crosswalk is safer for road users and more energy efficient.
