The green trains between Chenzhou to Baishidu Town in Yizhang County have only two cars with 256 seats besides the locomotive, making them the smallest train on the Beijing-Guangzhou line.
The majority of passengers on the trains are vegetable and fruit growers. The trains don’t sell tickets so that passengers can take the train for free, which saves two to three thousand yuan for farmers a year.
For six years, the train runs every day except during the Spring Festival, earning itself the name “special train for farmers”.
