Zhang Jiahui, vice-president of the Superior People's Court of Hainan Province in southern China, is under investigation for serious violation of laws, the Hainan Political and Legal Committee said Friday. 

Liu Yuansheng, Zhang's husband and the controller of a local investment firm, also faces an investigation for suspected crimes.
