The warm-hearted and spontaneous rescue efforts of strangers were revealed on Saturday in the beach resort town of Sanya, in China’s Hainan Province, The Paper reported.

After a Russian woman in her 40s became unconscious and collapsed while walking on a street, she was discovered to be in critical condition with a bleeding head.

According to The Paper, local police were on patrol nearby and called for emergency services once they discovered with unconscious woman.

At the same time, two Chinese men who had witnessed the fall graciously provided aid.

They brought towels from a nearby market and covered the woman’s head, so the bleeding would stop. Next, the two men moved her to the sidewalk to avoid oncoming traffic.

A young Chinese woman who spoke some Russian joined the makeshift rescue team, and was able to soothe the Russian visitor.

An ambulance arrived shortly thereafter, and rushed the woman to a local hospital, so she could receive proper medical attention.
