This 28-year-old local resident has been under detention and investigation by police.

Some radical demonstrators surrounded the liaison office on July 21 threw black paintballs to the national emblem on the gate of the office building, painted insulting words on the exterior wall, and attempted to break into the building.

The HKSAR government has strongly condemned violent acts that blatantly challenge the authority of the central government and will seriously follow up on and deal with the violent acts in accordance with the law.
