The infection involving a 29-year-old domestic worker from Indonesia was preliminarily listed as locally transmitted, the CHP said, adding that further confirmation is needed as it is very likely that the patient had contracted the virus back in Indonesia.
The COVID-19 tally in the financial hub increased to 11,830.
The vaccine rollout is ongoing in Hong Kong. Some 2.08 million vaccine doses have been administered under a government inoculation program.
Nearly 1.23 million people have taken at least one shot of the vaccine, including 853,900 people fully vaccinated.
